Hradčany was independent town from the 14th century to 1784 when it was connected to other towns to form a unity called Royal capital of Prague. Large part of Hradčany consists of Prague Castle and its premises, but also the Radniční stairs, Nový svět alley, Loreta or the Strahov Monastery are of interest.
