A little aside of the city center is the Lesser Town Cemetery concealing a rare gallery of sculptures from the 19th century and probably the largest cast-iron tombstone in Central Europe depicting a kneeling bishop. The cemetery was founded in 1680 during the plague epidemic in Prague in which 12,000 people died.
