Road traffic rules in the Czech Republic are mostly the same as in other European countries.
Basic traffic rules in the Czech Republic:- drive on the right
- speed limit – highway – max. 130km/h, town – 50km/h, outside town – max. 90km/h
- mandatory use of safety belts
- mandatory daytime running lights
- mandatory seats for children up to 36kg or 150cm
- zero tolerance of alcohol and drugs while driving
- drive on the highway only with a highway sticker

- cark parks located in the outskirts of Prague with direct connection to public transport (subway, tram, bus)
- possibility to buy discounted day ticket for public transport for CZK 80
- parking only for one day from 4am to 1am for a total of CZK 10

- orange zone – parking time up to 2 hours (CZK 40 per hour)
- green zone – parking time up to 6 hours (CZK 30 per hour)
- blue zone – parking only for residents and businesses with the parking card
